The County of Hastings has received an Application to create a Draft Plan of Subdivision File No. 12T-22-001.

Legal Description: Part of Lots 7 and 8, Concession 2, in the Geographic Township of Herschel
A Zoning Bylaw Amendment Application File No. R-2025-034 is required to rezone the newly created lots from the Marginal Agriculture (MA) Zone to the Rural Residential (RR) Zone.
The Draft Plan of Subdivision includes 20 new lots and a new road.
To support the Draft Plan of Subdivision, the applicant was required to hire consultants to conduct studies and reports. The County of Hastings hired consultants to Peer Review the originally submitted studies and reports. Below is a list of the studies and reports that were submitted to support the Draft Plan of Subdivision:
- Planning Justification Report (with Response, Memo and Addendum)
- Slope Stability/Erosion Hazard Limit Assessment (finalized after Peer Review)
- Environmental Impact Study (finalized after Peer Review)
- Hydrogeological Assessment (with Response to Peer Review)
- Stormwater Management Report (Peer Review comments will be addressed at time of detailed design)
- Archeological Assessment (reviewed by Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming and Ministry of Sport)
The Notice of Public Meeting was issued and the Application is scheduled for a Public Meeting at the Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 9:00 am in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Office.
