Facilities and Rentals

The Municipality of Hastings Highlands has several options when it comes to facility rentals. Our venues are ideal for meetings, events, tournaments, and community functions.

Rental Terms and Conditions

Please note that rental is confirmed ONLY upon full payment and receipt of signed Facility Rental Agreement. All fees (including tax) must be paid in full at the time of booking or at least 30 days prior to the facility usage. Advance bookings without payment will only be held for time specified in the Agreement. 

Rental times include set-up and take-down time.  Extended usage could result in additional fees.

A damage deposit may be requested at the discretion of the Municipality.

The user agrees to comply with all local, provincial and federal laws and Municipal Fire Safety Plan relating to the Facility and its use.

The user is responsible for all costs associated with renting the Facility, including all equipment, supplies, additional staffing, set up and take down, clean up and Facility damages. The Municipality will not be liable to the User for any loss or damage to goods or chattels of the user, its officers, employees, servants, agents, contractors and volunteers.

Smoking is prohibited in Municipal Facilities and is only permitted in designated smoking areas.

Any alcohol use must comply with the Municipal Alcohol Policy, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario.

An attendant fee may apply at an additional rate.

Insurance Requirements

Hastings Highlands utilizes a Facility Use Agreement that requires users to provide evidence of $2 million dollars in General Liability that includes the Municipality as an additionally insured.  ‘Un-organized’ users may apply for coverage through the municipal insurer if they qualify and use the Facility User Group fees schedule as amended from time to time.

The User will only use the Facility for the purposes outlined in the Agreement and must not permit anything to be brought or done on the premises that would invalidate the Municipality's insurance, increase its premium, or damage the Facility.  The Municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any application for the use of its Facilities

Herschel Community Centre in Bird's Creek, Ontario - 168 South Baptiste Lake Rd., Bird's Creek, ON

Lake St. Peter Community Centre in Lake St. Peter, Ontario - 5 Boulter Lake Rd., Lake St. Peter, ON

Completion of a Field Use Agreement is required for all renters. Youth leagues will be given priority.

There is an additional fee applied for the usage of lights. 

A booking is not complete until all agreements are signed and payment is made in full and insurance coverage has been verified and provided. 

Bookings are made on a first come-first serve basis. Prior use does not give priority to a booking.

The renter is encouraged to ask teams to use hotels, restaurants and businesses located within the Municipality of Hastings Highlands.

Hastings Highlands Centre (Emond Hall)
33011 Highway #62N. Maynooth, Ontario

Our main venue is the Hastings Highlands Centre named Emond Hall for former Mayor Ron Emond. This facility has been used to host weddings, school functions and sporting events and is located at 33011 Highway 62N in Maynooth, Ontario.

Capacity Limit: 165

The Program Room/Kitchen can also be rented separately or with the rental of the Hastings Highlands Centre at an additional fee.

Lake St. Peter Community Centre
5 Boulter Lake Rd., Lake St. Peter, Ontario

The quaint Lake St. Peter Community Centre is a smaller venues which is nestled between the two popular lakeside communities of Lake St. Peter and Mink Lake. It is located at 5 Boulter Lake Road in Lake St. Peter.

Capacity Limit: Dining-114 / Total-132

Herschel Community Centre
168 South Baptiste Lake Road, Bird’s Creek

The Herschel Community Centre is located at 168 South Baptiste Lake Road in Birds Creek adjacent to the baseball diamonds and outdoor rink and is quite popular for birthday parties, baby showers, meetings, private family get togethers and community groups.
