Zoning Bylaw Amendment

The Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw is a policy tool that implements the goals and objectives set out in the Official Plan.

Sometimes a proposed development is not allowed by the zoning bylaw.

You may apply for an amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw. This process is known as a Zoning Bylaw Amendment or Rezoning.

Before applying for a Zoning Bylaw Amendment, you should complete a Preconsultation Form and provide the Planning Department with the completed Preconsultation Form, site plan, and other documentation so that the Planning Department can review the proposal.
