2026 Draft Operating Budget

Each year staff put forward two (2) preliminary budgets to Council, an Operating Budget and a Capital Budget. These budgets are important as they set collective goals for Hastings Highlands. The Operating Budget determines the financial plan of how much money the Municipality will raise and spend annually. The Operating Budget is a key planning document that provides a foundation to deliver municipal services and plan to implement goals, priorities, and provide a method to control income and expenses throughout the year. It determines and supports the level of service provided to residents and guides decisions about services, programs, and infrastructure within Hastings Highlands.
