DECLARATION OF SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT - ENDED
Hastings Highlands' Operations Manager, has declared an official end to the Significant Weather Event that was issued on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 11:59pm.
Declaration End Date: March 13, 2026 Time: 8:00am
After monitoring the situation closely, we are pleased to inform you that the significant weather event has now passed. Conditions have returned to normal, and any immediate threats have been alleviated. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
Please note, roads crews are continuing to address downed trees on all Municipal Roads. At this time, please continue to use caution when travelling.
Downed trees on municipal property and roadways should be reported to our Operations Dept. by calling during business hours to 613-338-2811 ext. 202 (please leave a detailed voice message) and after 4pm to 1-888-408-5143.
Trees on or near powerlines should be reported to Hydro One. To report an outage, text 92887 (WATTS), use their outage map, or call 1-800-434-1235.
If you see a fallen or low-hanging power line, stay at least 10 metres back, even if it doesn’t appear to be live. Call 911 or report it to Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235.
