CONSULTANT CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Implementation Coordinator and Economic Development & Tourism Strategy Leader
The Municipality of Hastings Highlands is currently accepting applications for a one year consultant contract position. The consultant shall be responsible for developing and implementing a public process to consolidate recommendations from three municipal reports into short and long-term action items, begin implementing them and draft an economic development and tourism strategy for Hastings Highlands. The Consultant shall be responsible for working to a mutually agreed upon performance plan to accomplish these outcomes, and will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk.
• Sucessful completion of a university degree or college diploma in economic, business and/or community development.
Excellent analysis and synthesis capabilities and communications skills
Results driven with high level project management experience
Highly collaborative, skilled in networking, community engagement and consensus decision-making
Strong ethics and a well-defined sense of diplomacy; politically and culturally sensitive
Capable of creating compelling materials for Council, staff, funders, news media and the public.
12 month contract; $50,000 plus travel.

Landfill Attendant Positions
The Municipality of Hastings Highlands is currently seeking applications for two (2) landfill attendant positions. Candidates must have at a G class licence. Knowledge of Waste and Recycling operations would be an asset. This position requires being available for days, evening and weekend shifts. Wages will be in accordance with the provisions of the current collective bargaining agreement between The Municipality of Hastings Highlands and Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and its Local 1306.7.
